I’ve posted this exact story before, but feel it’s applicable and it’s still fairly recent.
I am openly gay, and everyone in my office knows. A new guy started several months ago. His desk is located directly beside mine. We quickly became close friends. One day at work, he e-mails me and asks me if I was busy Saturday. I say no, and he tells me to come over and bring rollerblades.
So Saturday arrives. I show up, we go rollerblading. He buys me ice cream at the park. We go see Bridesmaids. He invites me upstairs. I lean in for a kiss. He backs away.
“You’re gay???” He asks.
“Uhh…. yeah…..”
“Well, I’m not.”
I awkwardly left and we barely talk at work anymore. Seriously, this was THE gayest date I’ve ever been on. And that includes dates that involve gay sex.
